Then the only thing that’s left to do is to bring on the movement – make the links happen and scale – even if it means to go out of the company boundaries and breaking with corporate policy. Some things are just too important to be left untouched, because sooner or later, someone is going to do it and it may not be someone in the company’s control. Changing you job in today’s context for middle age person in Europe is not a recommendation, and making sense of certain company’s disconnect is not at everyone’s reach.
I’m meaning to say that the grounds/walls today are not so stable – just look at how online reputation is capable of creating havoc for certain companies today. If you’re in the position of setting such a movement in place, there is little alternative in not doing so. I mean how else to you anticipate working in the next 5 years anyway.

    • Hi Patrick,

I assume the woman in the case Prusak mentions has been trying to bring on the movement, quite unsuccessfully though. So maybe the solution, which is isn’t taking place, is the problem itself…?

I can’t be sure how this woman has being going about it, but I wouldn’t discard her efforts as useless….and certainly don’t think she would have been even close to having movement started. Just because she had an interest for getting things moving, doesn’t mean that she had a movement on her hands.
