Videos from the SF New Tech
What was The SanFrancisco New Tech event, held on May 26th?
The next big thing cool event.
What for?
It’s a tech meetup for start-ups, VCs, journalists, techies of all kinds, where they have the chance to get to know state-of-the-art apps.
Our perspective:
It’s definitely a 2 thumbs up opportunity not only to demo in front of hundreds of tech influencers but also to network and connect with individuals and companies interested in the latest and greatest technology.
It was fun though hard to synthesize what the app we are currently developing can do and the sort of pain it relieves. Watch the COO, Antoine Perdaens, showing Microplaza here.
Being a Belgian startup, we went there along with a group of Belgian entrepreneurs, i.e. the guys behind Tweetag, Storytlr, Lovely Charts and YourTour, on what we called the Webmission 2009. It was a great success (we even got spotted by the Wall Street Journal!) and that’s why Antoine Perdaens & friends announced their Webmission Academy, to help five other young Belgian startups to attend this event next year.
Do you know of any other groups of start-ups from other European countries attending the SF New Tech 2009? Something like the Belgian BetaGroup initiative?
